Her notable books include Flock, Exodus, The Finish Line, and Drive, works that helped make her Ravenhood novels especially popular with romance readers and expanded her international reach through major publishing editions.
Kate Stewart is a writer, archivist, and third-generation librarian whose work sits at the intersection of biography, oral history, and public memory. Born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and raised in the Kansas City area, she studied history and women’s studies at Vassar College before earning master’s degrees in history and library science at the University of Iowa. Her early professional life moved through research and public-service institutions, including ProQuest, the Library of Congress, the office of U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski, the Arizona Historical Society, and the Arizona State Museum. By 2025, she had returned to Kansas as curator of the Wilcox Collection of Contemporary Political Movements at the University of Kansas.
