David R. Hamilton is a former pharmaceutical research scientist and author whose books focus on kindness, the mind-body connection, and personal well-being. His notable works include How Your Mind Can Heal Your Body and The Five Side Effects of Kindness, and he has written 12 books.
David R. Hamilton came to authorship by way of science. Educated at the University of Strathclyde, where he completed both his degree and PhD in chemistry, he began his career in pharmaceutical research and development, helping to develop drugs for cardiovascular disease and cancer. A childhood awareness of his mother’s experience with mental-practice tools, combined later with his own fascination with the placebo effect in drug trials, gave his work its enduring subject: the relationship between mind, emotion, and body. After time in industry, including work leading change projects, he left to focus on writing and teaching. ((https://drdavidhamilton.com/a-life-spared/?utm_source=openai))
