Dave Asprey, born in 1973, is an American entrepreneur and author recognized as the founder of the Bulletproof movement and a leading advocate for biohacking, a term he famously coined and helped propel into the mainstream. Asprey’s formative years reflected his early passion for technology and self-improvement; while studying computer science at university, he made headlines by selling the first product online—a caffeine-themed t-shirt—well before e-commerce became commonplace. He subsequently forged a successful career in Silicon Valley, holding executive positions at technology companies like Trend Micro and Citrix Systems. However, by his late twenties, Asprey’s relentless focus on work took a toll, manifesting in obesity, cognitive fog, and a cluster of premature aging symptoms, ultimately serving as a pivotal turning point in his life.
