Brendon Burchard is an American personal development author and coach whose work centers on motivation, habits, productivity, and high performance. He is best known for The Motivation Manifesto and High Performance Habits, and has been recognized as a multiple-time New York Times bestselling author with a large global audience through seminars and digital courses.
Raised in Montana, Brendon Burchard studied at the University of Montana, where he completed a master’s thesis in communication studies in 2001. After graduate school he joined Accenture, but the formative event in his biography came earlier: a serious car accident at nineteen. He has repeatedly traced much of his later work to that experience, especially to the three questions he says emerged from it: whether a person truly lived, loved, and mattered. Within a few years he left corporate life, endured an unstable early period marked by financial strain, and committed himself to writing, teaching, and speaking about personal development and second chances.
