Jon Gordon was born and raised in Long Island, New York in a Jewish-Italian family, a background that shaped his values and early worldview. As a young man, he excelled at lacrosse while studying at Cornell University, where he absorbed lessons on culture and teamwork that would later infuse his writing and teaching. Gordon then continued his academic journey, earning a Masters in Teaching from Emory University, equipping him with the pedagogical foundation that would anchor his future as an educator, writer, and consultant.
