Biography & Author's Journey

Brian Tracy was born on January 5, 1944, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, and spent his formative years in Vancouver, growing up in a household marked by persistent financial struggle. His early family life was shaped by hardship, scarcity, and the ceaseless drive to break free from the cycle of poverty, instilling in him a lifelong curiosity about the differences between success and adversity. Tracy left school early and worked a series of labor-intensive jobs, but his restless ambition soon pushed him onto a path of global exploration. During his twenties, he embarked on an extraordinary eight-year journey covering more than eighty countries across six continents, learning from varied cultures and challenging environments, and working odd jobs including a stint with Dr. Albert Schweitzer in South Africa.
