Sobre o Autor

Sri Yukteswar Giri, nascido Priya Nath Karar (1855–1936), foi o autor de A Ciência Sagrada e um distinto Kriya yogi, astrólogo védico e estudioso de Serampore, Bengala. Seu livro inovador sobre espiritualidade comparada revela a unidade científica entre as escrituras hindus e a Bíblia cristã.

Escrita em 1894 a pedido de Mahavatar Babaji durante o Kumbh Mela em Allahabad, a obra introduziu conceitos revolucionários, incluindo uma reanálise dos yugas védicos e da precessão dos equinócios.
