When commanded to sacrifice his beloved son Isaac-the fulfillment of a promise he'd waited twenty-five years for-Abraham responded immediately with obedience. When God planned to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, He first consulted Abraham, asking "Should I hide My plan from Abraham?"
