Chetan Prakash Bhagat é o autor de sucesso de One Indian Girl e um dos romancistas de língua inglesa comercialmente mais bem-sucedidos da Índia. Nascido em 1974, ele se formou no IIT Delhi e no IIM Ahmedabad antes de trabalhar como banqueiro de investimento no Goldman Sachs e no Deutsche Bank por quase 11 anos.

Ele deixou o setor bancário em 2008 para escrever em tempo integral, concentrando-se em romances contemporâneos e comédias dramáticas que exploram a vida de jovens indianos da classe média urbana que navegam por relacionamentos modernos, ambições de carreira e identidade.
