Nilanjana Sudeshna "Jhumpa" Lahiri é a autora vencedora do Prêmio Pulitzer de O Nome da Terra (The Namesake) e uma voz de destaque na ficção contemporânea que explora a experiência do imigrante. Nascida em Londres em 1967, filha de imigrantes bengaleses e criada nos Estados Unidos, Lahiri baseia-se em sua criação bicultural para iluminar temas de identidade, deslocamento cultural e as complexidades do pertencimento.
