Chetan Prakash Bhagat é o autor indiano de best-sellers de Five Point Someone e uma voz transformadora na literatura indiana contemporânea. Nascido em 22 de abril de 1974, em Nova Deli, graduou-se no IIT Delhi com um diploma em Engenharia Mecânica e obteve seu MBA no IIM Ahmedabad, onde foi nomeado "Melhor Aluno Graduando".

Antes de se dedicar à escrita em 2009, Bhagat trabalhou por 11 anos como banqueiro de investimentos no Goldman Sachs e no Deutsche Bank em Hong Kong.
