One of the oldest jokes in history describes Thales walking through the Greek wilderness while gazing at the stars. He was so consumed by the patterns of the cosmos and the rotation of the heavens that he failed to notice the ground beneath him, leading him to fall into a well. A servant girl who witnessed the accident laughed, asking how he expected to understand the heavens when he could not see what was right at his feet.
Thales of Miletus transformed our understanding of the cosmos by seeking rational explanations for natural phenomena. Instead of looking for a god to appease when the earth shook or the sun vanished, he looked for a reason based on observable patterns. By viewing the universe as a system governed by laws rather than divine intervention, he initiated the Pre-Socratic tradition and changed how our species interacts with the physical world around us.

I love the fact that I can get useful, condensed, information and ideas in a 8 - 15 minute podcast style audio. I'm not a general fan of podcasts because of all the fluff, but this cuts through all that.

I am finishing up my doctorate, and have to read a lot of unfamiliar material... With BeFreed, you simply enter a prompt, and the app finds source material for you and generates an audio podcast. I find the process in BeFreed to be more streamlined than NotebookLM.
