Shefali Tsabary is an Indian-born clinical psychologist and author whose work has consistently linked Eastern contemplative traditions with Western psychology. Born in Mumbai, she left India at 21 to study drama therapy at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, an experience she later described as formative in her turn toward meditation, mindfulness, and self-inquiry. She later earned a doctorate in clinical psychology from Columbia University and built a professional focus on family dynamics, personal development, and the emotional inheritances adults carry into intimate life and parenting.
