Born in Copenhagen on August 2, 1950, Carl Valdemar Jussi Henry Adler-Olsen grew up as the son of a chief psychiatrist, an upbringing that later informed his interest in psychological strain, social collapse, and moral ambiguity. He graduated from Rødovre State School in 1970 and then studied medicine, social studies, and film while working in books, magazines, translation, and scriptwriting. Before his fame as a novelist, he had already lived several creative lives, including time as a lead guitarist in pop bands. ((https://jussiadlerolsen.com/jussis-cv/))
