Peter Eric Enns é o autor de The Sin of Certainty: Why God Desires Our Trust More Than Our "Correct" Beliefs e um importante estudioso bíblico especializado na interpretação do Antigo Testamento e na interseção entre a fé e a erudição moderna. Nascido em 1961, o Dr. Enns obteve seu Ph.D. pela Universidade de Harvard e atua como Professor Abram S. Clemens de Estudos Bíblicos na Eastern University.
