However, the classificatory schemes underlying agents' relationship to their condition are themselves products of that condition. Position in the classification struggle depends on position in the class structure, limiting one's ability to transcend the boundaries of thought about the social world. The social order becomes inscribed in people's minds through differentiated conditionings, exclusions and inclusions, hierarchies and classifications embedded in objects, institutions, and language. Social divisions transform into principles of division, organizing our image of the social world. This creates a "sense of limits" that leads people to exclude themselves from what they're objectively excluded from, yet this process involves forgetting these limits exist. Through this complex interplay of objective structures and subjective perceptions, the social world reproduces itself not through mechanical determination but through the seemingly free choices of individuals who have internalized the limits and possibilities of their position. The ultimate achievement of Bourdieu's analysis is to reveal how social domination operates not primarily through force or explicit constraint but through the complicity of our own embodied dispositions-our tastes, preferences, and perceptions that make the arbitrary appear natural and the social appear personal.
