Lena: We’ve talked a lot about the "why" behind attraction, but I want to get really practical for our listeners. Let’s talk about body language "clusters." You mentioned earlier that a single gesture doesn't mean much, but a cluster is like a full sentence.
Miles: Right. This is what Allan Pease calls the "sentence rule." If a woman crosses her arms, she might just be cold. But if she crosses her arms and leans back and points her feet toward the exit... well, she’s checked out. As a man, you need to be a "social detective." You have to watch for the "Green Lights" and the "Gentle Warnings."
Lena: What are some of the most reliable "Green Lights" a guy should look for to know his seduction is actually working?
Miles: The big ones are Orientation, Openness, and Mirroring. Orientation is where her feet are pointed. Feet are the most honest part of the body because we rarely think about them. If her feet are pointed directly at you, even if her head is turned to look at someone else, she’s interested in you. Openness is uncrossed limbs and exposed palms—it signals comfort and trust. And Mirroring is huge. If you take a sip of your drink and a few seconds later she does the same, or if you lean in and she follows suit, your nervous systems are essentially "syncing up."
Lena: I’ve heard about the "Triangle Gaze" too. Is that a real thing?
Miles: It’s very real and very powerful. It’s when her eyes move from one of your eyes, to the other, then down to your mouth, and back up. It’s a subconscious signal of romantic and sexual interest. If you see that, the "Biological Assessment" is likely a "Go." Another one is the "Lingering Glance"—holding eye contact for just a second longer than is socially "normal" before looking away.
Lena: And what about "Touch"? That’s always a tricky area for guys to navigate. How do you use touch to build attraction without it being... well, "creepy"?
Miles: The key is "Calibration" and "Consent." You start with what I call "Micro-Touches"—a light, brief brush of the arm to emphasize a point, or a gentle touch on the shoulder. Then, you watch for the reaction. If she leans into it or reciprocates, you’ve got a green light to gradually increase the intimacy. If she stiffens or pulls back, even slightly, you immediately give her space. That’s "Emotional Intelligence" in action.
Lena: It’s about being observant. I think a lot of guys fail because they’re so "in their heads" thinking about what to say next that they literally don’t see the woman pulling away or leaning in. They miss the data.
Miles: Exactly. I tell my clients to use the "RADAR" framework: Recognize, Assess, Determine, Adapt, and Review. First, just recognize the signal—her pupils dilated, or she shifted her posture. Assess it—is it part of a cluster? Determine your hypothesis—she seems comfortable. Adapt—lean in a bit more. And then Review afterward—did that work? It turns social interaction into a skill you can actually practice and improve.
Lena: It takes it from being this "mysterious magic" to being a learnable, measurable process. And once you can read those signals, your confidence skyrockets because you aren't guessing anymore. You know where you stand.
Miles: And that confidence, as we know, loops back into System One and makes you even more attractive. It’s a virtuous cycle.
