Eve Rodsky is an American author and advocate focused on gender equity, domestic labor, and women’s creativity. She is best known for Fair Play and Find Your Unicorn Space, books that popularized her system for rebalancing unpaid work at home; Fair Play became a New York Times bestseller and documentary.
Eve Rodsky’s career grew from a combination of legal training, organizational thinking, and a close-up view of how labor is distributed inside families. Raised by a single mother in New York City, she went on to earn her B.A. from the University of Michigan and her J.D. from Harvard Law School. Before becoming widely known as a writer, she worked in foundation management at J.P. Morgan and later founded the Philanthropy Advisory Group, bringing together strategy, governance, and mediation work that would later shape her approach to domestic life as a system rather than a set of ad hoc favors.
