Devon Price is a social psychologist and writer whose work explores neurodiversity, disability, workplace culture, and LGBTQ+ identity. Best known for Laziness Does Not Exist and Unmasking Autism, Price writes for broad audiences, challenging productivity myths and advancing autistic self-understanding, accommodation, and social acceptance.
Devon Price came to authorship through psychology and the internet rather than through a conventional literary path. Price studied psychology and political science at Ohio State University, graduating in 2009, then earned a PhD in applied social psychology at Loyola University Chicago. Long before the book contracts, Price had been writing online since adolescence, moving from early forum culture to LiveJournal, MySpace, Tumblr, and eventually Medium. That long apprenticeship matters to the shape of the work: the voice is research-driven, but it was honed in public, in conversation with readers, subcultures, and the fast-moving debates of online life.
