    Stell dir mal vor, du sitzt ganz entspannt auf deinem Sofa oder stehst in der Schlange im Supermarkt – und plötzlich, aus dem absoluten Nichts, schlägt dein Herz bis zum Hals. Die Kehle schnürt sich zu, der Schweiß bricht aus und in deinem Kopf schreit alles: Gefahr! Es fühlt sich an, als würdest du gerade einen Herzinfarkt erleiden oder komplett die Kontrolle verlieren. Aber hier ist die Sache, die dich vielleicht überraschen wird: Dein Körper meint es eigentlich nur gut mit dir. Er aktiviert einen uralten Überlebensreflex – den Kampf-oder-Flucht-Mechanismus – nur eben zur völlig falschen Zeit. Du bist damit übrigens absolut nicht allein. Jeder fünfte Erwachsene erlebt mindestens einmal im Leben so eine Panikattacke. Das ist keine Schwäche und hat nichts mit deiner Persönlichkeit zu tun; es ist schlichtweg eine körperliche Überreaktion, ein Fehlalarm deines Nervensystems. Auch wenn sich diese zehn bis dreißig Minuten wie die Ewigkeit anfühlen und du vielleicht sogar Todesangst spürst – es ist wichtig zu wissen: Diese Attacken sind zwar extrem unangenehm, aber sie sind nicht gefährlich. In dieser Folge schauen wir uns ganz in Ruhe an, wie du diesen Sturm im Körper bändigen kannst. Wir besprechen, warum dein Gehirn diese Warnsirenen überhaupt losjagt und mit welchen sanften Techniken du dich sofort wieder im Hier und Jetzt verankern kannst, um die Kontrolle Schritt für Schritt zurückzugewinnen. Denn das Wichtigste ist doch: Du bist dieser Angst nicht hilflos ausgeliefert.
