Created in 1960 by neuropsychiatrist Alfonso Caycedo, Sophrology blends Western science with Eastern wisdom into a structured approach to inner harmony. The term itself comes from Greek roots meaning "the science of consciousness in harmony" - a perfect description of its purpose.
