Karen Ehman’s path as a writer began early in Michigan, where she has said she loved talking and writing from childhood and was already creating material for school by elementary age. She wrote a Christmas play in fifth grade, contributed poetry and newspaper pieces in middle school, and later served as sports editor for school papers in high school and college. A major turning point came at sixteen, when she first heard and responded to the gospel at a youth event in rural Michigan. She went on to graduate cum laude from Spring Arbor University with a B.A. in social science, and she later married her college sweetheart, Todd. ((https://karenehman.com/about-karen/))
