    De acuerdo con una investigación de DeskTime citada por Miles, en una jornada laboral estándar de ocho horas, el trabajador promedio solo logra ser productivo durante aproximadamente dos horas y cincuenta y tres minutos. Esto significa que contamos con menos de tres horas de trabajo real de enfoque. El resto del tiempo suele perderse en distracciones, inercia o simplemente en la espera de que el cerebro logre arrancar para procesar tareas.

    Datos recientes indican que el 82% de los empleados se encuentra en riesgo de sufrir burnout laboral este año. Lena y Miles señalan que este agotamiento surge de la obsesión por mantener una productividad constante durante ocho horas, algo que choca con nuestra realidad biológica. Al intentar forzar el rendimiento sin considerar la gestión de energía, los trabajadores terminan agotados y con la sensación de que el tiempo se les escapa sin completar sus tareas.
