    Nia: Jackson, ich hab neulich mal wieder versucht, so eine richtig perfekte Morgenroutine durchzuziehen. Du weißt schon, mit Yoga, Smoothie und allem Drum und Dran. Nach drei Tagen war ich völlig fertig und hab’s hingeschmissen. Und da hab ich mich gefragt: Warum stresst uns das eigentlich so, wenn wir doch wissen, dass Struktur gut für uns ist?

    Jackson: Ja, das kenn ich halt nur zu gut. Aber weißt du, was das Spannende ist? Gerade wenn das Gehirn ein bisschen... sagen wir mal „unberechenbarer“ tickt – also bei ADHS, Angststörungen oder Bipolarität –, ist Routine eben nicht nur so ein Lifestyle-Ding. Da hab ich neulich was gelesen: Für Leute mit Bipolar-Diagnose ist Routine eines der effektivsten nicht-medizinischen Werkzeuge überhaupt, um die Stimmung stabil zu halten.

    Nia: Echt jetzt? Ich dachte immer, Routine ist der natürliche Feind von Kreativität und Spontaneität, gerade bei ADHS.

    Jackson: Klar, das fühlt sich oft so an. Aber unterm Strich sind diese Gehirne total sensibel für Veränderungen bei Schlaf oder Stress. Wenn die äußere Struktur wegbricht, kommt das Innere halt ins Schleudern. Da gibt’s zum Beispiel eine krasse Zahl: Bei Bipolarität und ADHS gibt es Überschneidungen von bis zu 60 Prozent. Das heißt, die Probleme mit dem Fokus und der Impulsivität ähneln sich total, und beide brauchen eigentlich diese „Anker“ im Alltag, um nicht abzuheben.
