With millions dreaming nightly and thousands dying daily, such coincidences are mathematically inevitable. We only notice and report the coincidences, never the non-events. David Hume defined miracles as transgressions of natural laws-like walking on water or turning water into wine. His clever insight was that we should believe miracle stories only if the testimony's falsehood would be more miraculous than the claimed miracle itself.
