Gartner, PhD, é o autor de The Hypomanic Edge: The Link Between (a Little) Craziness and (a Lot of) Success in America e um especialista reconhecido internacionalmente em hipomania e transtorno bipolar. Psicólogo clínico e ex-professor da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade Johns Hopkins por 28 anos, Gartner é especialista no tratamento do transtorno bipolar, transtorno de personalidade borderline e no trabalho com empreendedores de alto desempenho e indivíduos criativos. Seu trabalho inovador explora como a hipomania — um temperamento levemente maníaco — impulsiona a inovação, a tomada de riscos e o sucesso na cultura americana.
