When Miller appeared, taking the only vacant front-row seat, Morehouse changed his text to preach on "The Love of God." Though Miller walked out after one stanza, that night he returned home transformed. Instead of hiding, his wife and daughters found him apologetic and loving. Frightened but touched, the words from Scripture lodged in his heart and led to his salvation. Grellet finally understood the purpose of his seemingly futile mission. During a revival, a young preacher felt prompted to speak to a notorious troublemaker sitting at the back but hesitated. Later, he confessed his disobedience to his pastor but promised to act if given another chance. The next evening, he approached the young man and asked, "Do you want to be a Christian?" With tear-filled eyes, the man replied, "Of course I do. I was waiting to see if anyone felt enough interest in me to invite me to the Saviour." He came forward immediately, was converted, and many others followed his example that evening. F.B. Meyer, the English preacher, was unmoved by the noisy pleading for the Spirit's fullness at a Northfield Conference. He left the building for a lonely hillside where he simply prayed, "Dear Lord, I want the fullness of the Holy Spirit, and I will take by faith that which You have promised in Your Word." That evening, God transformed Meyer's life, ministry, and results. A.W. Tozer said, "The heart that learns to die with Christ soon knows the blessed experience of rising with Him. And all the world's persecutions cannot still the high note of holy joy that springs up in the soul that has become the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit."
