Eknath Easwaran (1910–1999), autor de Take Your Time: Finding Balance in a Hurried World, foi um renomado mestre espiritual e pioneiro da meditação de passagens. Nascido em Kerala, na Índia, atuou como catedrático de literatura inglesa na Universidade de Nagpur antes de levar seus conhecimentos sobre mindfulness e práticas contemplativas para o Ocidente por meio de uma bolsa Fulbright.

Seu livro, que mescla espiritualidade com autoajuda prática, reflete sua missão de vida de abordar a pressa moderna por meio da sabedoria atemporal.
