This doesn't mean aggressive foreign policy, police state measures, or unlimited security spending. Instead, we need a philosophy of resilience ensuring we can survive when these inevitable events occur. Building resilience into our daily lives allows organic, seemingly effortless responses to threats. Without this preparation, we face the devastating effects of dynamic shocks on a brittle system.
