Carl Ransom Rogers (1902-1987) é o autor de Um Jeito de Ser e um psicólogo americano pioneiro que fundou a psicoterapia centrada na pessoa e a psicologia humanista. Este livro de desenvolvimento pessoal e psicologia explora a vida autêntica, os relacionamentos terapêuticos e o potencial humano — temas enraizados em suas décadas de prática clínica que revolucionaram a psicoterapia moderna.

Rogers obteve seu doutorado pela Universidade de Columbia e ocupou cargos de professor na Universidade Estadual de Ohio, na Universidade de Chicago e na Universidade de Wisconsin. Suas obras influentes incluem Terapia Centrada no Cliente (1951) e Tornar-se Pessoa (1961), que transformaram as práticas de aconselhamento em todo o mundo.
