Nascido: June 08, 1957 – Windham, New York, United States
Scott Adams is an American cartoonist and author best known for creating Dilbert, a workplace satire that was syndicated in thousands of newspapers worldwide. His books, including The Dilbert Principle and How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big, focus on business, office culture, persuasion, and self-development.
Scott Adams was born on June 8, 1957, in Windham, New York, and built his career out of the friction between corporate life and comic observation. He earned a B.A. in economics from Hartwick College in 1979 and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1986, then spent the 1980s at Crocker National Bank and Pacific Bell. Those years in banking, finance, and technology gave him the bureaucratic language, managerial rituals, and office absurdities that later became his central subject. Dilbert debuted on April 16, 1989, and Adams remained at Pacific Bell until 1995, when the strip’s momentum made cartooning his full-time profession.
