We’ve created a system that rewards the 'exit' rather than the 'endurance,' where what looks like efficiency on a balance sheet is often just decay in disguise. We have to move from being agents looking at the next seven years to stewards looking at the next thirty.
Describe how venture capitalism is ruining companies gutting them to make profit and bleed them dry. What can be done to stop this. Why is capitalism allowed to run with no checks from government

The corporate heist model refers to a business strategy where private equity firms purchase a company and force massive amounts of debt onto its books. Instead of using this capital to improve stores or products, the debt is often used to pay out fees to the investors. This system can hollow out a company's foundation, leading to financial instability or foreclosure even if the original business was once successful.
Toys R Us serves as a primary example of how private equity debt can cripple a brand. Before its collapse, the company was paying approximately $400 million annually just in interest on debt it never actually needed for operations. This debt was forced onto the company by the firms that purchased it, leaving the iconic toy retailer unable to afford its payments and eventually leading to its disappearance from the market.
The impact of these investment strategies is often visible in the declining quality of everyday services. You may see the fingerprints of this model when a favorite website becomes unusable due to aggressive auto-playing ads or when a local hospital becomes suddenly understaffed. These changes occur because the business model prioritizes specific financial extractions over the long-term growth and stability of the organizations that consumers and communities rely on.
