Explore the reality of body transformation. Learn why losing 13kg and hitting the gym didn't solve mental health struggles like overthinking and procrastination.

The physical victory acts as a mirror that reflects the fact that unhappiness wasn't just a byproduct of size. Weight loss is just a tool for health, not a solution for happiness.
I Thought This Would Fix Me… It Didn’t I went all in on the gym for about 6 months. Tracked calories, hit workouts 5–6 days a week, dropped around 12–13 kg. And yeah… I looked better. But mentally? Not as different as I expected. I still overthought things. Still procrastinated. Still had the same doubts just in a slightly better body. I think I assumed fixing one area of life would magically fix the rest. It didn’t. Don’t get me wrong it helped. Just not in the “life solved” way I imagined

While a body transformation can improve your physical health and self-image, it is rarely a complete cure for deep-seated mental health issues. In this episode, we discuss the reality of losing weight and hitting the gym, only to find that internal struggles like overthinking and self-doubt remain. Fitness is a helpful tool for self-improvement, but it is not a magical solution that automatically fixes every other area of your life.
A common weight loss reality check is realizing that looking better doesn't automatically mean feeling better mentally. Many people go all in on the gym, tracking calories and dropping significant weight, only to discover they still face the same procrastination and mental hurdles as before. It is important to manage body transformation expectations and understand that physical changes are just one piece of the overall self-improvement puzzle.
It is a common self-improvement pitfall to assume that fixing your fitness will lead to a 'life solved' scenario. While discipline in the gym provides a better foundation, it doesn't inherently eliminate habits like overthinking or procrastination. True growth requires addressing different areas of life independently rather than expecting a single change, like weight loss, to magically resolve complex psychological patterns or personal doubts.
