Robin Sharma is a Canadian author and leadership expert best known for his globally influential book, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari. His work focuses on personal development, leadership, and productivity. Sharma’s books, translated into over 90 languages, have sold more than 15 million copies worldwide, establishing him as a leading figure in self-improvement literature.
Robin Sharma was born in 1965 to Indian parents in Uganda and was raised in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, Canada. His father, a physician, and his mother, a teacher, instilled deep values of education, discipline, and service in him from an early age. Sharma pursued higher education at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, earning both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in law. He began his professional life as a litigation lawyer, but despite early career success, he felt a growing sense of dissatisfaction and a calling toward deeper personal fulfillment.
