Vince Flynn (1966-2013) était l'auteur n°1 des meilleures ventes du New York Times pour Consent to Kill et le créateur de l'agent antiterroriste de la CIA Mitch Rapp, l'un des héros les plus emblématiques de la fiction contemporaine. Publié en 2005, Consent to Kill est le sixième volet de la célèbre série de thrillers politiques de Flynn, explorant les thèmes de la vengeance, de la complexité morale et des coûts personnels dévastateurs de la guerre secrète de l'Amérique contre le terrorisme.
