Tamsyn Elizabeth Muir, la escritora de ficción especulativa nacida en Nueva Zelanda, es la autora superventas de Gideon la Novena y de la aclamada serie La Tumba Sellada. Es célebre por combinar la fantasía científica, el terror y el humor negro en su narrativa única.

Graduada en 2010 del prestigioso Taller de Escritores Clarion, Muir se apoya en su educación católica romana y en su identidad LGBTQ+ para crear narrativas ricas en temas de sacrificio, devoción religiosa y relaciones moralmente complejas. Su novela debut Gideon la Novena (2019) ganó el Premio Locus a la Mejor Primera Novela y fue finalista del Premio Nebula. Inició una trilogía que desafía los géneros y que continúa con Harrow la Novena y Alecto la Novena.
