About the Author

Ingersoll Lockwood (1841–1918), author of Baron Trump's Marvellous Underground Journey, was an American lawyer, diplomat, and children's author known for his imaginative blend of science fiction and fantasy.

Baron Trump's Marvellous Underground Journey (1893) follows young aristocrat Wilhelm Heinrich Sebastian Von Troomp on a fantastic voyage into the Hollow Earth, encountering surreal races like the Transparent Folk and the Rattlebrains. The book is the second installment in the Baron Trump series, following The Travels and Adventures of Little Baron Trump and His Wonderful Dog Bulgar (1890).
