Official biographies note that he won the Samuel Smyth Memorial Prize as a chartered accountant in the UK, spent a brief period with Price Waterhouse, became Ireland’s youngest accounting-firm partner, and later relocated to the United States in 1999 after helping build a 13-office training and consulting business.
