
Bo Burlingham is an American business journalist and author focused on entrepreneurship, company culture, ownership, and founder exits. A longtime Inc. editor-at-large, he is best known for Small Giants, Finish Big, and The Great Game of Business, works that have influenced founders and business leaders thinking about building and leaving companies well.
Bo Burlingham built his reputation as one of the most durable chroniclers of American entrepreneurship. A Fulbright Scholar and Woodrow Wilson Fellow, he graduated from Princeton University in 1967 with a B.A. in public and international affairs. Before becoming closely associated with business journalism, he served as managing editor of Ramparts, contributed to New Times and Working Papers, and wrote for publications including Harper’s, Esquire, Mother Jones, The Boston Globe, and Boston magazine. In the early 1980s, he also worked at Fidelity Investments alongside leading fund managers, an experience that sharpened his understanding of how businesses are actually run.
