Studien zeigen, dass bereits wenige Minuten informellen Austauschs ausreichen, um die Persönlichkeit des Gegenübers besser einzuschätzen und die spätere Zusammenarbeit in Verhandlungen oder Projekten zu verbessern. Es reduziert den Stress im Umgang miteinander und stärkt die sozialen Beziehungen, was wiederum die psychische Gesundheit am Arbeitsplatz fördert und den Erfolg bei Gehaltsverhandlungen steigern kann.

    Beim Conversational Threading geht es darum, dem Gesprächspartner in einer Antwort mehrere „Anknüpfungspunkte“ oder Fäden anzubieten, anstatt das Gespräch mit Ein-Wort-Antworten zu beenden. Wenn man beispielsweise auf die Frage nach dem Befinden nicht nur mit „Gut“ antwortet, sondern zusätzlich ein aktuelles Projekt und Wochenendpläne erwähnt, hat das Gegenüber verschiedene Themenoptionen, auf die es reagieren kann. Dies hält den Redefluss lebendig und erleichtert besonders introvertierten Menschen die Interaktion.

    Souveränität bedeutet in diesem Kontext, nicht impulsiv zu reagieren, sondern bewusst zu agieren. Ein zentrales Werkzeug ist die Macht der Pause: Wenn man unter Druck gerät, hilft es, tief durchzuatmen und zwei Sekunden zu warten, bevor man antwortet. Dies signalisiert Überlegtheit statt Defensive. Zudem sollte man auf „Weichmacher“ wie „eigentlich“ oder „vielleicht“ verzichten und stattdessen klare Standpunkte formulieren. Wahre Souveränität zeigt sich auch darin, eigene Unsicherheiten oder Fehler offen anzusprechen, was authentisch und nahbar wirkt.

    Nein, die Techniken werden im Skript eher als Handwerkzeuge verglichen, ähnlich wie die Handhaltung beim Erlernen eines Musikinstruments.
