    Nia : Dis, Blythe, j'ai une amie qui est en plein dedans. Son mec l'a quittée du jour au lendemain, sans un mot, genre "silence radio" total. C'est dingue comme ce genre de rupture laisse des traces, non ?

    Blythe : Ah, mais c'est normal qu'elle se sente comme ça. En fait, ce n'est pas juste de la tristesse, c'est un vrai trauma. J'ai lu un truc là-dessus : quand on se fait larguer de manière abrupte par un profil évitant, notre système nerveux se prend un mur. Ce n'est pas une rupture classique, c'est ce qu'on appelle un "discard".

    Blythe : Bah ouais. Le truc, c'est que pour l'évitant, surtout le type "craintif", ce n'est pas soudain. Dans sa tête, il a accumulé plein de ressentis sans jamais les dire, et d'un coup, paf, il sature et il s'en va pour se protéger. Mais pour celui qui reste, c'est comme si on avait coupé le film juste avant la fin. Ton cerveau cherche désespérément le dernier chapitre pour boucler l'histoire, mais il ne le trouvera jamais chez l'autre.

    Nia : C'est exactement ça, elle a l'impression d'avoir été "consommée" puis jetée. Mais alors, si l'autre ne donnera jamais d'explications, comment on fait pour "fermer le dossier" ?

    Blythe : C'est là qu'il y a un point clé : il faut arrêter d'attendre que la clé vienne de lui. On va voir qu'on peut créer sa propre clôture, sans lui, en comprenant mieux ces mécanismes de défense qui nous ont percutés de plein fouet. Pour comprendre, faut remonter à ce qui se joue vraiment dans leur tête au moment du départ...
