Fao

Fiat Panis is a Latin phrase meaning "let there be bread." This powerful motto serves as the core mission and heartbeat of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). It represents the agency's 80-year commitment to ensuring that every person on earth has regular access to enough high-quality food to lead an active and healthy life.
The primary mission of the FAO is to defeat hunger and poverty through a literal, coordinated global effort. With 195 members—including 194 countries and the European Union—the organization works to ensure global food security. Their goal is to provide everyone with access to the high-quality food necessary for maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle across the globe.
The FAO maintains a massive international presence with boots on the ground in more than 130 countries. While the agency is a part of the United Nations, its work goes far beyond boardrooms. Staff members are actively involved in the field, working directly in forests, in the dirt, and on fishing boats to implement international development and food security strategies.
The Food and Agriculture Organization consists of 195 members. This membership includes 194 individual countries plus the European Union. These members collaborate through the FAO to address global food challenges, working together to provide the resources and coordination needed to tackle poverty and food instability on a massive, worldwide scale.
