But this isn't just jealousy driving her obsession. It's fear. "If you marry him," she desperately wants to warn the girl, "you will regret it." What begins as a seemingly straightforward tale of a discarded wife stalking her replacement soon unravels into something far more twisted. The narrative alternates between perspectives, building tension as Vanessa grows increasingly desperate to prevent the wedding. We're led to believe she's simply unhinged-until the first shocking revelation turns everything upside down: Vanessa and Nellie are the same person.
