Christian mixed martial arts emerged as a ministry to men, with groups like Xtreme Ministries combining church with MMA training "Where Feet, Fist and Faith Collide." By 2010, an estimated 700 predominantly white evangelical churches had adopted MMA for outreach. White evangelicals view immigration more negatively than any other religious group. By 2019, nearly two-thirds supported Trump's border wall, and most didn't believe America had responsibility to accept refugees. Despite biblical commands to welcome strangers, only 12 percent of evangelicals cited the Bible as their primary influence on immigration views.
