She studied psychology and political science at Northwestern University, an academic combination that aligns with her long-running interest in how people think, choose, and connect. Early in her career, she moved through both agency and client-side marketing roles, serving as a lead strategist on accounts such as Burger King and Land Rover and working in marketing and analysis for Jack in the Box and Spiegel. A major turning point came at Sony Electronics, where she led the company’s first brand office as vice president and general manager of brand and strategy.
