We know this story-the ultimate underdog triumph. But what if everything we believe about David and Goliath is wrong? The confrontation in the Elah Valley wasn't a miracle. It was strategy. Ancient armies had three warrior types: cavalry, infantry, and projectile warriors like slingers. Goliath was heavy infantry, expecting hand-to-hand combat.
