James Martin

James Martin was a British information-technology writer and futurist whose books on software engineering, databases, and the social impact of computing—especially The Wired Society and Principles of Data-Base Management—helped shape enterprise IT. He wrote more than 100 books, helped popularize rapid application development, and delivered the 2008 IET/BCS Turing Lecture.

The details supplied correspond to James Clear rather than an author named James Martin. Clear is an American writer and speaker whose work grew out of an unusual mix of athletics, scientific curiosity, and disciplined self-observation. Raised in Hamilton, Ohio, he studied biomechanics at Denison University, where he was a pitcher on the baseball team and earned Academic All-America honors in 2008. A serious baseball injury in high school became an early turning point: the long recovery sharpened his attention to the role of small, repeated actions in rebuilding performance, confidence, and identity. That experience later became a foundational thread in his writing about behavior change. ((https://denisonian.com/2018/11/anl/james-clear-08-creates-his-own-future/?utm_source=openai))
