Douglas Rushkoff

生年: February 18, 1961 – New York City, New York, United States

ソーシャルリンク:

Douglas Rushkoff is an American media theorist, author, and documentarian whose work examines digital culture, technology, economics, and power. He is known for books such as Present Shock, Program or Be Programmed, and Team Human, which critique platform capitalism and explore how media systems shape human behavior and society.

経歴と著者の歩み

Douglas Rushkoff emerged from an unusually cross-disciplinary education that helped shape his career as a public writer on technology and culture. He graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University, earned an MFA in directing from the California Institute of the Arts, completed a post-graduate fellowship at the American Film Institute, and later received a PhD in New Media and Digital Culture from Utrecht University. That blend of literary study, filmmaking, and theory gave him a voice that moved easily between criticism, storytelling, and social analysis. He later became professor of media theory and digital economics at CUNY/Queens, where he founded the Laboratory for Digital Humanism. ((https://rushkoff.com/bio/))
