Explore the life of Nikola Tesla, the architect of light who revolutionized the world with Alternating Current and wireless energy from his Manhattan laboratory.

The present is theirs; the future, for which I really worked, is mine.
The history of NIKOLA Tesla

Nikola Tesla was a visionary inventor often credited with inventing the twentieth century. Known as the Architect of Light, he transformed modern society by developing Alternating Current (AC), the system that powers our homes today. His work in his Manhattan laboratory involved groundbreaking experiments with wireless energy, such as lighting glass tubes without wires, demonstrating his unique ability to harness energy directly from the air.
The rivalry between Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison centered on the history of electricity and how power should be delivered. While Edison pushed for Direct Current (DC), Tesla championed Alternating Current (AC). Tesla’s AC system eventually became the global standard because it allowed electricity to be transmitted efficiently over long distances, which is why the lights come on today when you flip a switch.
Nikola Tesla's journey is a dramatic saga that began when he arrived in New York in 1884. He started with almost nothing, carrying only four cents in his pocket and a letter of recommendation. Despite these humble beginnings, the tall and slender inventor quickly became a central figure in the development of modern technology, eventually establishing a laboratory where he conducted world-changing research into physics and electrical engineering.
In his Manhattan laboratory, Nikola Tesla was known for his incredible showmanship and brilliant flashes of insight. One of his most famous demonstrations involved waving his hand to make a glass tube burst into an ethereal glow without any wires or batteries. This display of wireless energy seemed like science fiction to observers, but it was a practical application of his theories regarding pure energy and the future of electricity.
