Die Geschichte der Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung begann am 1. November 1949 im Nachkriegsdeutschland. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt war das Grundgesetz erst wenige Monate alt und das Land lag noch in Trümmern.
